Please note that few VW T3's mounted the hazard warning light switch in this location, being switch switch ref 171953235A (currently discontinued) the most common one which was inserted into the instrument panel.
This switch is not suitable for insertion into the dashboard as the fit is not the same and will be protruding from the vertical plane. The resistance it incorporates is also not the same.
