Although the original VW T3 switch has 4 positions (OFF-1-2-3), this 5-position switch is perfectly functional (OFF-1-2-3-OFF).
Being a part compatible with numerous vehicles, the design of the switch operation button is slightly different from the original fitted on VW T3 and VW T4. This activation button will work for the VW T3 front heating but will not work for the rear heating (it is short). In this case, you can reuse the original rear heating button by pressing it appropriately.
